Kinship was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. I did not have a reservation and called ahead. Michelle was very accommodating and was able to find me a table. Donald was my server and was able to explain everything on the menu as well as give recommendations. All of the wait staff were polite, attentive, and friendly. I had the lamb belly appetizer and it was one of the best dishes I have ever eaten. Very balanced with so many flavors that blend well together. The duck entree was also fantastic and very flavorful. This is one of my best dining experiences and I can't wait to come back.

Our visit to Kinship was exceptional. Service, food, and ambiance were all 10/10. We couldn't have asked for more.

Food: Squid and Rockfish was very flavourful. The halibut was way too salty. Overseasoned. Service: I didn't understand the hierarchy of the menu, and it was not explained. I ordered 3 heavy food, without knowing. It feels like one of the server wasn't proficient in English. When he describes the dish, he used simple words and tried to have me understand. For example, he kept saying, "Okay?"

Kinship is an intimate higher end restaurant in DC. I visited for the first time with a friend for dinner on a Friday evening. We started with the rolls which came out fresh and delicious. The scallops and lamp chops were delicious! I didn't really enjoy the soup. The service was excellent. Defiantly try if you're in the area.
